Welding, sandblasting and anti corrosion coatings of the port portal of the silo of Cereals Office

The intervention of THI REVETEMENT consists in renewing the protective coating of the port portal by sandblasting and anti-corrosion painting while respecting the execution times which must be as short as possible so as not to disturb the operations of unloading cereals towards the silos of the port. of Gabes. 

The corrosion is deep and has caused the deterioration of some frame area. Our teams began by cutting and repair welding the damaged areas. 

After the end of the welding and repair work, the sandblasting operation is carried out to remove the rust, the old anti-corrosion painting and any strange bodies. 

As soon as the sandblasting is finished, the first coat of anti-corrosion paint is applied, the primer coat of anti-corrosion paint is used to protect the bare surface after sandblasting. 

The painting system is further reinforced with an intermediate layer of anti-corrosion paint.

 The anti-corrosion painting system is finally closed with a coat of waterproof finishing paint. 

The complete system of sandblasting and anti-corrosion painting applied is able to resist chemical agents, mechanical stress and sunlight.
