An agreement was reached concerning the granting of a performance bonus demanded by the agents and executives of the Tunisian company of refining industries (STIR) on strike since Monday 10 current, said Sami Louati, member of the General Federation. oil and chemicals, under the Tunisian General Labor Union.

This decision comes at the end of the meeting, held Tuesday in Tunis, between representatives of the administration of the refinery, the basic union of the STIR, the union organization UGTT, in the presence of the head of public enterprises. to the presidency of the government, he stressed.

The participants agreed on the need for the company to respect the statutes and internal regulations as well as to recognize the rights of its agents and executives, he indicated, stressing that a meeting is planned with the staff of the STIR in order to to examine the terms of the lifting of the strike.

It should be recalled that the loading of petroleum products at the STIR based in Zarzouna (governorate of Bizerte) was suspended after the executives and agents of the company entered into an unexpected strike to demand a performance bonus.
